How are notifications created?
At Fera we believe in showing only true and honest data. That’s why we don’t allow you to create or fake any social proof notifications. However, that means we work differently than other apps or skills you may have used. We only display real events as social proof notifications on your site. Events are either add to carts or purchases that happened on your site.
You can see all the notifications if you go to the Reports–>Social Proof Events. This shows a list of all of the events that have occured on your site. You’ll be able to see how these events will display on your site. In the report you can delete events or even edit the customer name.
Within the skills you can tell the app how many notifications you’d like to display and whether or not to show add to cart events, purchases, or both. This can be found in the “What to Show” tab. Here you can enable either recent purchases or recent add to carts,or both. You can also set a lookback period. A Lookback time tells the system how far back to include events. So if you set this to the default of 24 hours and it’s currently 3PM it will show all add to carts and purchases from yesterday at 3PM until today at 3PM. If someone ordered at 1:30PM yesterday than that ‘event’ would not be included as an social proof notification on your site.
